Mamie-Hawa Bawoh studied Design and Visual Communications at Blue Hills Regional in Canton then went on to pursue a bachelors of arts at Bridgewater State University. She has been creating art for as long as she can remember and can’t see herself doing anything else. She started getting awards for art in elementary school, and ever since then she’s been inspired to create. She takes inspiration from almost everything, the simplest thing can spark several ideas for her. She’s  also inspired by her peers, she finds comfort seeing someone in the same position as her creating such amazing artwork, it makes everything seem so much more achievable. She strives to make mindful art that sparks conversation and makes connections.
